About ZVitiligo Support Community

Zvitiligo Support Community is a vitiligo advocacy and support group based in Nigeria, uniting over 40 members committed to raising awareness and empowering individuals living with vitiligo. The organization plays a vital role in educating young people across Nigerian schools about vitiligo, dismantling myths and misinformation surrounding the condition.

Recognizing the unique challenges faced by Nigerians with vitiligo such as limited access to affordable treatment, sunscreen, and dermatological care, Zvitiligo works tirelessly to provide hope and a sense of belonging. Many vitiligans in Nigeria struggle with social stigma, discrimination in employment, and isolation due to widespread misconceptions, including being mistaken for burn victims or those affected by chemical reactions.
